First version released!

So, this is a silly little thing, isn’t it.

This exists for a few reasons:

• I wanted to fool around with Godot and produce something low-stakes.
• More novelty shareware is always fun.
• The original Alien Detector has become a staple of my stream and I thought it’d be fun to remake it.

Yes, this is essentially a rewrite / remake of an old bit of software from circa 1995. It’s missing the weird “autoscan in the background” feature of the original, but that’s about it. Oh, and I’ve added my own, ahem, highly entertaining text strings.

I’ve half a mind to do another version with my own graphics. Maybe this can be a sort of living project which I can use to practice using Godot (for instance, I now understand a lot better how the themeing system works!)

Anyway, enjoy this little thing. In case you’re wondering, there is a chance (however slim) that it’ll detect an alien!
